 Retiklon

The Retiklon is a PastFx limited run pedal based a famous overdrive pedal containing the sometimes noisy surgepump / voltage doubler chip.

We have previously avoided making many of the cliche pedal designs from the past, as the market is currently saturated with clones.

However due to making a large proportion of modulation effects, we began to notice a pattern of customers contacting us about noise issues they were experiencing.

The common theme was that the end user had a an overdrive pedal or a clone which had a particular power converter chip in its design.

Now noise doesnt always showup on everyones pedalboards, however on more complex pedalboards, we noticed the repositioning or removal of this type of pedal resolved the noise issues.

This situation made us ponder if we could design a circuit that captures all the nuances of the original, while omitting this component.

Our design wizard reluctantly went to work and came up with a circuit that we are very chuffed with. We also added some extra fancy decorative parts. Its not everyday you have a Reticon Sad1024 or a token carbon comp resistor in an overdrive.

We included these components as we have been told that sometimes  "rare fancy obsolete parts makes a good pedal even better!"

Like our OG-1 we wanted to reward "PastFx V.I.P" customers with first option to buy.

Zach of "All Things Strings!" - South Carolina  may have limited numbers for those located in the USA .

Remainder of the world will be able to purchase directly pending availability.

More to come...
