PastFx Rotary Phaser is a faithful reincarnation of the revered multi-stage Photo Coupler Maxon PH-350 Rotary Phaser.
The PastFx Rotary Phaser is competitively priced and now incorporates additional features in a smaller pedalboard size format.
Features:
- True Bypass / stereo outputs (Internal Mono / Stereo Selector switch - Mono summed or Stereo Wet /Dry )
- Speed - controls the modulation rate.
- Depth - controls the Intensity of the modulation.
- Feedback - The Rotary Phaser incorporates both positive (CW) and negative (CCW) feedback. At 12 o'clock position feedback is at its minimum.
- Like the original on which it is based, the feedback control can produce squeals and chirps from the runaway oscillation of the feedback. This is normal and it is advised to reduce the amplifiers volume prior to setting the feedback control to maximum CW or CCW.
- Mode - This switch allows the user to select the number of phase stages of the effect. The PastFx Rotary Phaser has an additional 8 stage phasing option which is not found on the original. There are 4 different stage modes available indicated by number and adjacent led indicator 4,6,8,10, with 10 stage having the maximum amount of photo coupler phasing.
- Red LED LFO rate visually indicates the modulation rate (This is not found on the original)
- Waveform Selector choose between Triangle or Square lfo waveform. (square wave option is not found on the original)
- The pedal has been optimised to operate off standard 9V DC Neg tip “Boss style” power only. Please avoid cheap switchmode power supplies!
- Output B is for mono use, where the dry and modulated signals are combined. Output A will always produce a dry signal. By selecting the internal Stereo slide switch, the dry signal will be cut from the Output B jack. This will result in the Dry signal only exiting from Output A, and the Wet only modulated signal exiting from Output B
- Current draw approx 45mA.
- Compact 1590B Industry standard size
User Manual still to come :)

Stereo Chorus PX65
NOW WITH NEW REGEN BUTTON!
PastFx Stereo Chorus PX65 is a faithful reincarnation of the beloved DOD FX65 Stereo Chorus,
which is rumoured to have been used by John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers during the Blood Sugar Sex Magic album era.
It also includes extra features and tonal options allowing more possibilities from this classic circuit.
Features:
- True Bypass / stereo outputs
- Speed, Delay Time, & Depth controls now all have increased ranges. The Modulation rate can now produce a significantly slower speed. A red LFO LED indicator for visual speed display has been included.
- The Delay Time control can also access shorter and longer delay times than of all the DOD FX65 and FX62 models. The Depth control can also access more extreme “seasick” modulation intensities.
- The original FX65 and FX62 (Bass Model) were usually populated on the same FX65 PCB. We included 2 internal slide micro switches that enable switching between either the FX62 or FX65 circuits. (selecting any combination of slide switches will not damage the pedal)
- Feedback from some FX62 users, expressed the desire to have a volume control as some felt the effect was not always at unity with their bypass signal. A Level control has been added to solve this issue. The Stock core level can still be achieved by turning the Level knob fully CCW. This becomes necessary when engaging the Vibrato mode. (see below)
- A Blend control has also been included. This limits the amount of Wet / Modulated signal that combines with the dry signal. Again the stock circuit can simply be achieved by turning the Blend knob fully CW. Sometimes the reduction of the wet signal can produce a slightly perceived volume drop. The Level control can compensate for this, bringing the chorus signal back to unity gain.
- Also not included in the original is a Vibrato feature. A pushbutton Vibrato switch can cut the dry signal to create this effect. When engaged, the lower red on/off led indicator will change to blue indicating this mode. The Blend knob will need to be fully CW in this setting. In this mode the Level control will need to be adjusted to return the lower signal level to unity gain.
- The pedal now runs of the standard 9V DC (Maximum 12VDC) Neg tip “Boss style” power supply jack. The uncommon DOD style powering connector is no longer needed.
- Lastly, thanks to observing the creativity of how Andy Martin (Andy Demos) uses his Modded DODFX65, we have included the Dave / Andy switch. Dave Mode (Named after the great Dave Simpson) is the default Dod FX65 setting.
- Switching to “Andy” mode, the pedal can now access the stereo output “out of phase” tones without having to swap cables between the mono and stereo output jacks.
- A new Regen push button option has also been added. This feature of introducing a small amount of feedback (similar to a flanger circuit) allows a more intense “Andy” mode. The level of feedback can be adjusted via an internal trimpot (located on the middle RHS ofthe PCB) . Increasing the level control can magnify the amount of feedback, thereforeadjusting both to obtain the desired amount is required. The Regen function is only availablein “Andy” mode! When in this mode the top red led will alternate flashing blue.
- When in this mode, faux “Through-Zero Flanging” tones can be achieved when turning the Speed control to very slow and having the delay time control between 0-25%
Faithful Dod Fx65 circuit with larger range of speed, delay time & depth.
Includes a Red LFO led for speed visual indication.
Level control allows to boost signal in Vibrato mode ( stock FX65 CCW).
Blend knob to dial back the wet signal.
Dry Cut / Vibrato switch
Blue LED = Vibrato mode
Red LED = Chorus mode
Andy / Dave switch for stock BSSM / Dod Fx65 tones or phase inverted Faux TZF Andy tones.
Internal micro switches to convert to FX62 Bass circuit!

Stereo Outputs
Operates of standard 9V DC neg tip. (Can operate at 12VDC Max) Current draw approx 10mA.

What Is It?
The PastFx Elastic Mattress is our original spin on the famed “V2” version of the Electric Mistress pedal made by Electro-Harmonix in the mid to late 1970s, and famously used in live and studio recordings of David Gilmour as both a solo artist and with Pink Floyd. We have created a pedal that captures the unmistakable lush yet articulate base and swooshing glitz that characterises the original Mistress, but without any of the limitations of the original… and with a lot more control on tap. Indeed, there's quite a lot in common, sonically, with the aural qualities associated with the V2 Electric Mistress—definitely capable of more subtle chorusy flanging, with slightly less saturation and better overall note definition than later EM models. Our Elastic Mattress, true to its name, bends into one’s playing with pillowy grace. In doing so, it retains the unmistakable core tone, vibe, and texture that Mistress lovers and seekers desire. And let’s not forget that our Elastic Mattress can get downright funky, trippy, and wild if subtlety isn't the player’s forte. More modern EM tones are in there with some tweaking, but the pedal excels with its generous range of usable chorus and flanging depth. We believe that this is an extremely versatile EM-style flanger which requires limited pedalboard real estate!
Players will find the familiar external rate, range, and color knobs, but we've also added a blend knob for controlling wet/dry ratio. In addition to the standard EM Matrix feature, which can be accessed by switching its toggle right (towards the corresponding blue LED), we have added a bright switch toggle that allows players to choose between our stock setting or a custom value set by an internal trimpot, allowing players the ability to dial brightness to taste and switch between two presets. There is also an internal trimpot to set the effect's volume level, so you can dial it in to unity gain or even boost your signal when engaged. Altogether, our Elastic Mattress flanger offers all the expected pleasures and sounds of the original EM, but with lots of ability to shape and control the effect in unprecedented ways, in a highly intuitive, compact box. We invite all-comers to lay down a groove on the Elastic Mattress! :)
